There are only two kinds of riders: old ones and dead ones.
It’s the first thing older riders tell new ones. It sounds like a joke until you look at the numbers.
In 2025, 75 motorcyclists died on NSW roads — 7 more than the year before. Speeding was a factor in 40 of those deaths. 22 of them were aged 16 to 25.
The stories I kept hearing weren’t about bad luck. They were about a rule the rider didn’t know, or knew and didn’t think mattered: too fast into a bend, a misjudged give way, one drink on a licence that allows none. Unforced mistakes.
The knowledge test is where you first learn those rules, and most people just try to scrape through it. I built Riders Knowledge Test so you understand why each rule exists, not just which answer to tick. One day you’ll need it at 80 km/h.
Pass the test. Then go and become an old rider.

What do I need after I pass?
A completed Licence Application form, proof of identity and the licence fee. If you live in a rider training area, you also need your Pre-learner Certificate of Competence.
